FanimeCon 2017 took place this past May and Photographer David Ngo was there as usual snapping away to capture all of the cosplay goodness for us.
Regrettably, some of these amazing cosplayers are unidentified so please comment or send us a message if you know one of them and we will update this post!
Above all, FanimeCon is Northern California’s largest anime convention and is proud to be “By Fans, For Fans.”
As a result, FanimeCon is jam packed with nonstop programming, costumes, music, games, tournaments, panels, and international guests. For this reason, this annual celebration of Japanese art and pop culture entertains a wide spectrum of fans and friends.
As a consequence, FanimeCon is brought together by a group of very hard working fans. They come together every year to create a convention to share with everyone. Ultimately, from the staff and volunteers to the attendees, the passion for anime and Japanese culture is palpable and you can feel it in the air.
First and foremost, from its humble beginnings in 1994, FanimeCon was created by several anime clubs that came together to share their passion. As a matter of fact, some of the original clubs still remain and many others have joined Fanime since. Furthermore, there are still many great clubs to discover in California.
Anime Expo is another great cosplay event in California.
There was also some very hot cosplay at AnimeJapan this year.
Another amazing Cosplay event is the Osaka Cosplay Street Festival.
Photographer David Ngo was also at Colossalcon this year.
