Foxy Blue, aka Natasha, is a unique and creative individual who likes to express herself through the art of cosplay. She hopes to inspire others to be themselves and to show people its okay to be different and stand out in the crowd. Be sure to follow her on Facebook!

She loves to create unique costumes that haven’t been done before, especially mashing up characters from different comic worlds. Influenced by her best friend she has only been in the cosplay world for the past year but has already been featured in Cosplayzine three times, been used as a live model in photography workshops and even been asked to be featured in a film!

She has a love for art and tattoos and has a whopping 38 tats herself, her favorite being a full color portrait of the 11th Doctor Who holding his sonic screwdriver! Yes that’s right she’s a Whovian!

Foxy’s first ever cosplay was an anime based one chosen for her by her best friend. Her friend wanted to go to an anime con and didn’t want to go alone so they made a deal, Foxy went to anime con with her and she came to MCM with Foxy.

Attending the anime con opened her eyes to a whole new world, it showed her all the amazing creations people had made and wanted to get stuck in! So that’s what she did, creating her own version of DC comics Poison Ivy aka “Post Apocalyptic Poison Ivy” which became very popular and made it into the magazine Cosplayzine.

After the buzz and success of this costume she then started to come up with new ideas creating Darth Poison (a Sith version of Poison Ivy) and Harley Trooper (Harley Quinn Stormtrooper) for her fiance. Next, Foxy designed two steampunk Sith characters for her and her fiance which were also published in Cosplayzine.

After designing a steampunk Tank Girl, she decided she needed a hero after being a villain for so long so she put together Marvel’s “The American Dream” to team up with her fiance and his classic Captain America.

Foxy has always been a gamer girl, starting out with the PS1 and a Dreamcast and a Gameboy many many moons ago. She’s a massive fan of the Gears of War collection on the Xbox 360, Crysis and F.E.A.R. and she loves to hang out in the arcade club playing retro games. Her favorite console is the limited edition R2D2 Xbox 360.

We asked Foxy the existential question: What is Cosplay?
“A chance to be unique, to express yourself without being judged, to share ideas and skills, to meet like minded people and make friends, to have fun and most importantly be happy.”
