Ambra Cosplay – 23-year-old biologist, Ambra Pazzani’s love of fashion and clothing began with cosplay. Inspired by her love of comics, she began cosplaying in 2012, to satisfy her desire to create beautiful interpretations of the characters she loves.
Ambra is a major figure in Italian cosplay. Cosplaying at conventions across Italy and appearing as guest, panelist and even judge, she notes: “I usually go to Cons as a cosplayer. I don’t feel comfortable if I don’t have a costume, after all these years!”
In Italy, Ambra is best known for her cosplay of X-23, Wolverine’s female clone. Did you see X-23’s cinematic debut in Logan? Logan opened in March of 2017 in the US.
Ambra’s excited that her favorite hero is appearing in the movie, even if she is a child – for now. She’s always been drawn to X-23 and Wolverin, both flawed heroes that fascinate Ambra.
Reflecting on X-23, Ambra notes in a recent interview that “Like Logan, she’s an experiment, but her mind is garbled because of the conditions in which she grew up. She’s a fragile girl that must find the strength to go on. In ‘Logan’, I think she will find the family she never had in Wolverine.”
Ambra loves the cosplay world and offers some advice to anybody who wants to get started. “Do what you love, don’t care about prejudices and don’t feel ‘strange’. If you are wearing a costume at a Con, we are all cosplayers and we are a big family. Just do what makes you feel yourself and free.”
